President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna Poroshenko came out to the square in front of the Presidential Administration and thanked Ukrainians who came to thank and support him. The participants of the action met Petro Poroshenko with the words: "Thank you", "Poroshenko", "The best", "To victory together". "I am happy and proud of this meeting. You are the best part of our joint team of winners," the Head of State said at the square.
"I am grateful to the Ukrainian people," Petro Poroshenko emphasized. He assured that, together with his team, he would do everything to continue the movement of Ukraine forward and continue the reforms.
"I am grateful for the words: "thank you" and for the flashmob, which I needed yesterday," he said and told that he had read so many positive and sincere words on Facebook about him. "This was exactly what I needed," the President added.
"Our main victories are still ahead. And let everyone hear it," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
He emphasized that yesterday he had told the whole world that he would not leave politics. "We unite to secure our common victories in the near future. Together, we are going to win the parliamentary elections. Together, we will return to Bankova Street after the next presidential elections," Petro Poroshenko stressed. The participants of the action encouraged his words and chanted: "In a year". The Head of State, in turn, replied: "Everything is God's will ... Well, friends, let it be so, in a year”.
"The only thing we cannot allow now is despair, frustration, self-doubt and disbelief in Ukraine," he added.
The President emphasized: "I am an optimist, because you cannot get up for the victory and do not believe in victory. And our today's meeting is the best demonstration that we are not lost. We know what to do. We know that we are united. We know that our main victories are ahead".
"For we have to defend Ukraine. And if we do not protect it, nobody will protect it. There are millions of us and we will have more. We will not make mistakes any more," the President noted.
"We will stop the Russian aggression. We will free the Ukrainian land. We will improve the welfare of Ukrainian citizens and overcome poverty. The main thing is that we will ensure Ukraine's accession to NATO and the European Union," Petro Poroshenko underscored.
The Head of State stressed that in five years, the country had achieved more than in a quarter century before. "This is the result of our joint work - the work of mine and my team, the work of all of you who are here today on Bankova Street," he said.
The President believes we must protect all our victories now. "And let them hear - we will not give up. We will not allow them to destroy our army. We will not let them eliminate our language. We will not allow the revenge against our church. We will not allow to stop decentralization. We will not allow the destruction of a new Ukrainian school. We will not allow to stop the inclusive education initiated by the First Lady," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
The attendees chanted: "Maryna, good for you!". The Head of State supported them: "I totally agree with that". Maryna Poroshenko also thanked everyone for their support.
"When I feel such support, when I feel such unity, when I feel such belief in our future achievements, I firmly believe that nobody will overcome such a team," Petro Poroshenko said.
Together with the President, all participants of the action performed the anthem of Ukraine.
