We must unite to protect Ukraine, return Crimea, protect the Ukrainian Donbas - Petro Poroshenko

"Today, we finally gave people an opportunity to hear a small part of our discussion. And it is extremely important that the discussion started," President Petro Poroshenko said during the debate, asking his opponent, presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky, to continue this dialogue in the studio of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine.
"Today, except for unfounded accusations, we have not heard anything from Mr. Volodymyr about strategy, about directions and steps, about resolute positions on the protection of the state," he added.
"It is clear from your answers that you still live in the past that you are still ready to spread only lies," Petro Poroshenko said.
“We haven’t heard your strategy,” the President said.
"I want to address the supporters of Mr. Zelensky. Friends, on April 21, we need to look forward and think how to save the state and not to give it to Putin," the Head of State emphasized.
According to him, today a strong request for an update has been confirmed. "And the update is necessary and can be done during the parliamentary elections. But one cannot play with the country during the presidential elections. The price can be extremely high. And the war with the Russian aggressor cannot be conducted by an actor, a talented person, but without any experience," he said.
The Head of State stressed: "The price paid by tens of millions of Ukrainians may be very high".
"They do not see what was done in 5 years. They are trying to drag it to any other direction. We have to unite to bring Crimea back to Ukraine. We have to unite to protect the Ukrainian Donbas. We must protect Ukraine from populism and Russian fake news. We will not allow the restoration of the oligarchy and the return of fugitive oligarchs to Ukraine. We will continue to jointly move forward, because we know what to do and our renewed team will definitely win," the President said.
The Head of State thanked Ukrainians who came to support him during the debate at NSC Olimpiyskyi. "The main thing is not to lose the country. Together to the victory," Petro Poroshenko said.
