Ministry of Regional Development, Building,
Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine together with the state owned
enterprises under its supervision has elaborated a strategy regarding the implementation
of anti-corruption measures. There have already been established divisions at
the state – run companies designed to prevent and detect corruption.
This was stated by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine/Minister of Regional
Development, Building, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko during a training workshop on corruption risks assessments
and drafting of anti-corruption programs of state owned companies.
“The Ministry of Regional Development, Building,
Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine is actively
engaged in activities aimed to reduce corruption, first of all in construction
sector. There have been adopted relevant legal acts. We are eliminating
barriers in the development of the building business, simplifying the procedure
of obtaining permission documents as well as deregulating the sphere. The state
companies are prone to greater corruption risks. We have to stop that. It is
mainly your sphere of responsibilities - Commissioners for the prevention and
detection of corruption. We count on your principled stand”, stressed the Vice
Prime Minister.
The public, experts of
the Government public initiative “Together against corruption" as well as
representatives of National Agency on Corruption Prevention will join the
process of creation of anti-corruption programs for state-owned enterprises.
