Exchange & Clearing House Corporate Events
Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL) rang the opening bell at NYSE on February 3. NYSE and other platforms operated normally, barring regional holidays.
Changes in Regulation
On February 4, the FSB released a report pointing out weaknesses in repo markets when government bonds are the primary collateral. For 2026–2028, AMLA established strategic priorities that emphasised innovation, oversight, and AML/CTF hazards.
SRB published consultations on the study of company restructuring plans. In a statement on tokenised securities, the SEC emphasised adherence to securities regulations.
A report on the condition of digital assets was released by CNMV (Spain). A fourth set of credit union deregulations was suggested by NCUA.
Commodity and Crypto Market Shifts
In order to comply with SEC regulations, CME Group plans to establish CME Securities Clearing Inc. in Q2 2026 to handle US Treasury and repo transactions. In order to address jurisdictional overlaps, the CFTC and SEC emphasised coordination.
