President of Ukraine together with his wife paid tribute to the victims of political repression in the Bykivnia Graves State Historical and Memorial Preserve

On the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna Poroshenko honored memory of thousands of deceased in times of repression. The Head of State and his wife took part in the events on the territory of the Bykivnia Graves State Historical and Memorial Preserve.
The presidential couple laid flowers to the mass grave and paid tribute to the deceased. Also, a wreath of flowers with a ribbon of national colors of Ukraine was installed on the mass grave.
Petro and Maryna Poroshenko also put icon lamps and commemorated the victims of totalitarianism near the central monument of the Bykivnia Graves State Historical and Memorial Preserve.
The President and his wife also took part in the ceremony of laying the wreath of flowers to the memorial sign of Polish burials.
