Ukraine cuts oil production by 4.8%, gas output by 1% in April

Oil and gas
condensate production fell by 17,700 tons in Ukraine in April 2008, which is
4.8 % down year-on-year. Enterprises of the NJSC Naftohaz of Ukraine also
decreased the production volumes by 9,500 tons (or by 2.9 %), which is 322,700
tons, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine reports.
Oil and gas
condensate production reduced by 70,600 tons (or 4.7%) year-over-year and
amounted to 1.434 million tons during four months of 2008. Naftohaz enterprises
decreased oil and gas condensate output by 44,900 tons (or by 3.3 %) and was
1.311 million tons.
In April
alone, Ukraine decreased gas production by 16.4 million cubic meters (or 1%)
year-over-year and Naftohaz of Ukraine enterprises produced 1.550 million cubic
meters of gas, which is 13.7 million cubic meters down year-on-year.
Gas
production reduced by 42.9 million cubic meters (or by 0.6%) during four months
of 2008 year-over-year and amounted to 6.943 billion cubic meters. Gas
production by Naftohaz enterprises decreased by 38.5 million cubic meters and
amounted to 6.453 billion cubic meters.
