Ministry for Environmental Protection insists on other conditions for developing Black Sea Shelf

The
Ministry for Environmental Protection proposes to restrict lots of Prykerchynska oil and gas area located at the Black Sea
shelf, which are offered for tender, Minister Heorhiy
Filipchuk said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnya newspaper.
"We
suggest restricting lots offered for tender to 500 square meters on shore and
to 1,000 square meetrs on shelf", he said.
In addition
to this, the Ministry for Environmental Protection jointly with the Ministry of
Economy sent proposals on introduction of amendments and changes to the current
law on production sharing agreement.
"I, in
particular, insist on a cardinal increase of the state share by 70
percent", the Minister noted adding that presently this share does not
exceed 11 percent.
