Increase in direct foreign investment USD 3.36 billion in January-March

The growth
in direct foreign investments in Ukraine amounted to USD 3.365 billion in
January-March 2008, which is almost 4 times up year-on-year, the State
Statistics Committee of Ukraine informed on May 16.
Foreign
investors allocated USD 3.244 billion of direct investments in the Ukrainian
economy in Q1, and divested USD 239.4 million.
As of April
1, 2008, the total amount of investment soared USD 32.896 billion, which is
11.4% more than it was in the beginning of 2008. Per
capita investment was USD 710.
