In 2012, enterprises of meat and dairy industry have increased production
Each year an
average Ukrainian consumes about
205 kg of milk. Experts
predict that this year the figure will increase by 5 kg. Domestic dairy
industry is ready to increase the
supply of these products to
the domestic market. So we should also
expect an increasing activity of meat processing plants. This was started by Minister
of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk during a briefing at the Cabinet
"According to forecasts
of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food this year for the production of dairy products would be recycled 4.7 million tons
of milk. Last year, with processed 4.6
million tons of milk, 21% was
used for the production of milk
for export" - said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
Also official noted
that 2011 year there was an
increase of meat production. Due to this an import of
meat products decreased by 40%.
