President congratulated Ternopil residents on Christmas holidays and handed over the Peace Light of Bethlehem

President Petro Poroshenko visited the “Winter Town” in Ternopil, took part in the consecration of the Ukrainian Christmas manger and handed over the Peace Light of Bethlehem. Petro Poroshenko also took part in the ceremony of turning on the lights of the New Year tree of the city.
"I think this is a very good tradition, a tradition of Ternopil, when we light up the Christmas tree from the Bethlehem Light. When the whole city convened on the theater square today to celebrate. To work together. To defend together. Because Ukrainians, when they are single, are invincible," the Head of State stressed.
The President congratulated Ternopil region with the creation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. He prays that on the eve of Christmas, his All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch conveys the Tomos of Autocephaly to the newly elected Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epifaniy. "This will be a real spiritual holiday for all Ukrainians," the Head of State added.
"I congratulate you on the holiday of St. Nicholas, on Christmas holidays. I wish you health and peace," the President addressed the residents of Ternopil.
