During the working trip to Ternopil, President Petro Poroshenko attended the charitable children"s play "Ten Steps to God", which was organized for children whose parents defend Ukraine from the Russian aggression and IDPs from the east and Crimea.
The Head of State congratulated everyone on the upcoming holiday of St. Nicholas and stressed that today"s event "is an extremely important thing that is done for children and gives faith that everything will be good".
The President paid special attention to the need to support the children of Ukrainian heroes-defenders. "For they are now defending Ukraine in the east, defending the administrative border with Crimea, defending Ukraine at sea," Petro Poroshenko said. He once again emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine is the guarantor of our independence. "Let"s applaud those children whose parents defend our state," the President added.
Petro Poroshenko also noted that there are also children of IDPs from temporarily occupied territories who were forced to leave their homes as a result of Russian aggression. "And all over Ukraine they were met as relatives. Let"s wish them, both these children and their parents, to return to the liberated Donbas and Crimea as soon as possible. We pray to the Lord for this," Petro Poroshenko said.
