President honored memory of the heroes who perished in the struggle for Ukraine in Lviv region

During the working visit to Lviv region, President Petro Poroshenko paid tribute to the heroes who perished in the struggle for Ukraine.
Petro Poroshenko put an icon lamp to the monument to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and honored the memory of those perished defending the European future of Ukraine with a moment of silence.
The Head of State also paid tribute to Ukrainians who gave lives for their state near the monument to the brave heroes located in the village of Zhovtantsi. In honor of the heroes the inscription on the monument reads: "You either gain the Ukrainian state or die in the struggle for it. Eternal glory to the Heroes of Ukraine”.
Також Петро Порошенко відгукнувся на пропозицію служителів місцевої церкви і разом із жителями селища взяв участь у молитві за всіх борців за волю і незалежність України у храмі Успіння пресвятої Богородиці. Настоятель храму, отець Ярослав подякував Главі держави за зусилля задля створення в Україні єдиної автокефальної церкви. «З Божою допомогою ми бачимо, що цей час настає і будемо молитися, щоб 15 грудня Божа ласка і Святий дух зійшов на наших архієреїв і вони вибрали єдиного предстоятеля», - сказав він.
Also, Petro Poroshenko agreed to the offer of the local church and took part in the prayer for all the fighters for freedom and independence of Ukraine in the temple of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin together with the residents of the village. Senior priest of the temple Father Yaroslav thanked the Head of State for his efforts to establish the autocephalous church in Ukraine. "With God"s help we see that this time comes and we will pray for our hierarchs to choose a single primate on December 15,” he said.
The Head of State said he was very glad to amend the schedule of the trip and to have an opportunity to pray with the local residents. "I am very glad to see you all today in this church, to pray together for Ukraine, to take this opportunity to thank the priests of your church who pray for Ukraine daily, for the victory of our army, for the authorities, for the Ukrainian people," Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
Petro Poroshenko stressed: "I believe that the Lord will send wisdom to our hierarchs of churches and we will get a church".
"I beg you, pray for this to happen, because it is not just an event of church life. This is an event of creating a spiritual independence of our state. Independence from Moscow," Petro Poroshenko noted.
