President Petro Poroshenko hopes that amendments to the Constitution, which will consolidate the course of Ukraine to the European Union and NATO, will be adopted in the near future. It was stated in the course of the speech in the Kherson State Maritime Academy.
“Four years ago, the Ukrainian people made a civilized choice for the benefit of the European future, and several weeks ago the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada supported the President's proposal to amend the Constitution to consolidate the European and Euro-Atlantic choices of the Ukrainian people in the Constitution," Petro Poroshenko reminded.
"321 votes “for”. More than the constitutional majority is a firm guarantee that these changes to the Constitution will be adopted in the near future,” the President added. The Head of State also expressed conviction that the key to this European choice is not only to reform the economy, legal and political system. "The key to this is the educational reform. With which we will enter the European intellectual space on an equal footing," he said.
