The Government
backs an idea of creating industrial parks in the country, which is an
effective tool enabling to create new jobs and a high quality national product
in Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman during the Second International
Trade and Industry Conference "FTAs: Opportunities and Challenges for
Ukraine and Partners" on Friday.
"We are
fully supportive of the creation of industrial parks. I"d prefer that by the
level of business climate the whole country was an industrial park", said Volodymyr Groysman.
"I
believe that establishment of a real mechanism that will give way for the creating
new jobs and a new product in Ukraine - it is the topmost priority for our
state. Therefore, we support and will prolong our support [for the creation of
industrial parks]," stressed the Prime Minister.
There has
been envisaged legislative basis for the registration of regional industrial
parks, explained the Head of Government. Moreover, there is being prepared for
the second reading in Parliament a corresponding law providing for a number of
preferences.
He noted
that certain politicians were trying to prevent the adoption of this law and
criticizing this idea. "It’s because they just want our strong industrial
policy to fail or for some other reason", suggests the Prime Minister.
"In a
competitive environment for the domestic product and workplaces, they
[industrial parks] are needed. These are parks in which we will create our major
industrial capacity", believes the Prime Minister.
