First
Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine Emine
Dzhaparova spoke at the Lviv
media forum and told about the main problems on the restoration of broadcasting
in the occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas.
"In
the Crimea, as well as in the Donbas, the problems of restoration of Ukrainian
broadcasting are similar: high TV towers are captured and controlled by the
occupier. TV towers from the Ukrainian side, even if they equipped with
powerful transmitters, are not able to cover fully the occupied territories.
Therefore, the main thing is the installation of TV towers, three of which must
be installed on the East and one in the Kherson region. This is a minimum
program," said Emine Dzhaparova.
The Lviv media forum is the major media event of the year,
which took place on 26-28 of May in Lviv in the Arena
Lviv center and in separate locations of the city.
Among the speakers of the event were: Emine Dzhaparova - First Deputy Minister of information policy of
Ukraine; Jan Tombinski - head of the EU delegation to
Ukraine; Geoffrey Pyatt - Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine; David Herszenhorn
- a journalist of "The New York Times"; representatives of Ukrainian
media.
Recall, that
the Lviv media forum is the event, which takes place
in Ukraine since 2013, and brings together journalists, PR specialists and
experts from the media field.
