Pavlo Klimkin declares strengthening trust between Ukraine and Israel

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin is still in a two-day official visit to
Israel.
The Minister has held
a bilateral meeting with
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Speaker of the Knesset Julius Edelstein, Foreign
Minister Avigdor Lieberman and Chairman
of the Knesset’s Foreign
Affairs and Defense Committee Ze’ev Elkin. During the meeting Pavlo Klimkin has underlined
that Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko pays special attention
to the development of cooperation with the State of Israel as
well as the Jewish community in Ukraine.
During the meetings the sides discussed plans
for further development of Ukrainian-Israeli relations
in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian
spheres, as well as the security situation.
Moreover, it
was agreed to hold the Days of Ukrainian
Culture in Israel as well Days of Israeli
culture in Ukraine
in 2015.
The Minister also visited Patriarch
Theophilos III of
Jerusalem, praying in the Holy Land for a
single indivisible Ukraine and
its European future.
In addition, Pavlo Klimkin visited
Ukrainians who were
seriously injured during the Revolution of Dignity
and in the ATO, and are currently
in the Kaplan medical center in the city
of Rehovot.
The Foreign Minister also gave
an interview to leading Israeli media. He answered
questions about the situation in our country and the
future development of relations between Ukraine and
Israel.
