PM appeals to responsible departments to speed up the submission of lists of ATO participants

At
a meeting of the Government of Ukraine on Wednesday, October 1, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has appealed to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Interior Affaires, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, The State Service for Special Communications and Information
Protection to speed up the submission of lists of participants in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
He
has recalled that despite the creation of the State Service for Veterans,
People with Disabilities and Participants in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), only 152 persons have received the status of participants of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO): "We’ve created the Service, we’ve held the first meeting, but 152 people it is not good. Moreover,
the
guys who fought, and their families will be immediately entitled to receiving benefits and
compensations.
"
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has also focused on the issue of the allocation of funds for prosthetics for injured soldiers of the ATO. He recalled that he had discussed the issue during his visit to the Main Military Medical Clinical Centre in Kyiv: "Our enterprises can do prosthetics, but I"ve heard skepticism from guys about the Ukrainian prostheses."
He
has noted that 70 Ukrainian enterprises have got the licenses for the manufacture of prostheses: "I know that even Ukrainian Paralympic athletes use our prostheses."
The
Prime Minister has instructed
Minister for Social Policy Liudmila Denisova to send social workers to each soldier, who requires prosthetics, in order to give him an opportunity to take a
decision: "There are Ukrainian prostheses that may be initially acceptable. There are foreign prostheses, and in special cases the state needs to allocate funds for foreign prosthesis. "
"We finance both national prostheses and foreign prosthetics depending on the case and the medical report," Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined.
